Introduction
Fishery Service and Technology Transfer Center is an unit belongs to the Research Institute for Marine Fisheries. Its functions is to carry out tasks on science research, advices, production, services, training and fishery technology transfer.
Fishery Service and Technology Transfer Center has its own legal recognisation, seal, and is allowed to have the bank accounts at the State Treasury and the Banks that operate in accordance with the law.
The headquarters are located in Hai Phong City, Vietnam.
The operation budget of FiSTech is allocated from the State Budget and other sources of income as designated by law.
English name: Fishery Service and Technology Transfer Center (hereafter FiSTech).
Tasks

To develop and submit to the RIMF:Strategies,plans,programs and projects in the long-term, every five years, and implementing every year; National standards, national technical regulations, economic and technical norms, processes and procedure, rules and technical guidances in the field assigned.

Consulting science technology for management and development of marine fisheries (marine resources, marine conservation, fishing, post-harvest…)

To joint ventures and cooperate with foreign and domestic enterprises to product and do business on seafood products according to the provisions of the law.

Scientific and technological services in the field of marine fisheries.

To provide vocational and technical training in the field of science & technology of marine fisheries.

Do other tasks assigned by the Director.
