L-lysine is an essential amino acid that humans and animals cannot synthesize on their own. L- lysine is currently added to animal feed mainly by fermentation. In this study, the microbial biomass of Corynebacterium glutamicum, which contains a large amount of pure lysine was investigated. The Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) method on mobile phase solvent (nbutanol: acetic acid: water : 1:2:3, (v/v/v) was used to determine the qualitative analysis of L- lysine. The visible absorption spectroscopy method (Ultra violet visible, UV-VIS) was used for quantitative analysis of L- lysine in fermented broth of C. glutamicum CG2 strain. The results of quick L-lysine analysis allowed us to check and control fermentative conditions to obtain a high lysine yield (>40%), which is supplemented aquaculture feed. Since then, the research team has achieved a feed formula for tilapia (Oreochromis sp.) with 35% of protein and lysine supplementation (0,5%; 1,0%; 1,5%; 2,0%) to serve the development stage of fingerling.
