1. Objectives - Identify the scientific basis for developing the process of seed production and restoration of hard corals on degraded coral reefs in the waters of Quang Ninh province. - Develop the process of producing hard coral seed in the artificial environment and the process of replanting degraded coral in the waters of Quang Ninh province. - Propose feasible solutions to protect and sustainably develop coral reefs after restoration. 2. Tasks - Task 1: Investigating and collecting information on coral resources for coral propagation and restoration in coastal areas of Quang Ninh province - Task 2: Research on building coral seed production process in artificial environment - Task 3: Model of hard coral seed production in the artificial environment - Task 4: Research and develop a technical process to restore corals on degraded reefs with artificial seed sources - Task 5. Proposing solutions to protect and sustainably develop coral reefs after restoration: - Task 6. Training in coral propagation and restoration techniques in degraded coral reefs
Output
- Report on the scientific basis for the selection of hard coral species for seed production and replanting in Quang Ninh waters - Report on research results on the growth and development of hard corals in artificial and natural environments, propose solutions to protect and sustainably develop the restored reef - A technical process to produce hard coral seed in the artificial environment - A technical process of coral restoration on degraded reefs - 05 technicians were trained and 30 people were trained in techniques for spawning and restoring corals for organizations, individuals and businesses according to regulations.
