* General objectives: Assess the status of aquatic stock and commercial fishery in Quang Ngai province; identify the total allowable catch capacity and appropriate fishing effort of the fleets; provide a scientific database for quotas licensing and adjusting the rearrangement the structure of the fishing fisheries; propose solutions for protection marine stock in works of management and sustainable development of marine fisheries. * Specific objectives: + Assess the status of marine stock in coastal and inshore waters and estuarine ecosystems in Quang Ngai province + Determine the total allowable catches to provide a scientific database for fishing quota licensing. + Determine the basic biological characteristics, minimum size limits, level of invasive resource and breeding season of some commercial species. + Determine the scope and co-ordination of marine protection areas, the time of prohibition and restriction for fishing in coastal waters. + Assess the status of commercial fishery in Quang Ngai province (structure of fishing gears, fishing activities, fishing effort and total catch, etc. ...). + Develop a set of posters to serve the purposes of management, propaganda and community education on the resource protection. + Propose solutions for management, adjustment and arrangement of fishing structure, protection of stock and sustainable and responsible development of fisheries. + Obtain a database of investigation and evaluation on marine stock and commercial fisheries in Quang Ngai province to serve the management of the fisheries sector. * Content: - Content 1: Evaluation and collection of documents and historical data on marine stock in coastal and inshore waters, estuarine ecosystems of Quang Ngai province in the period 2000-2019 - Content 2: Investigation and assessment of the status of marine stock in coastal and inshore waters, estuarine ecosystems of Quang Ngai province - Content 3: Investigation, data collection, determination of scientific basis for the protection of marine stock in Quang Ngai seawater. - Content 4: Investigation and assessment of the status of commercial fishery in Quang Ngai province - Content 5: Comprehensive assessment and proposal of solutions for sustainable marine fisheries management
