Species composition and distribution data of fish egg and larvae in Vietnam sea waters were collected from 2012 to 2017 representing for North East and South West monsoon. A total of 246 species (groups), 154 genus belong to 103 families of fish eggs and larvae were identified (about 5% number of total fish eggs and 98% number of total larvae). In the North East monsoon, 160 species (groups), 107 genus belong to 85 families were classifiedand 189 species (groups), 122 genus belong to 88 families of fish eggs and larvae in the South West monsoon. In this periods, Scombridae, Carangidae, Clupeidae, Bothidae and Synodontidaefamilies were the most abundant, making up between 3 and 5 species (groups). Following to that is Bregmacerotidae, Callionymidae, Leiognathidae, Mullidae, Cynoglossidae and Serranidae with two species (groups) were indentified in the each family. These 11 families constituted approximately 70% of the total. The abundance and number of species of fish eggs and larvae in the South West monsoon higher than North East monsoon. Fish eggs distribution were more in the nearshore than the larvae and abundance decline over time. In the South West monsoon, fish eggs and larvae concentrated with high abundance in the Gulf of Tonkin water (nearshore area of Quang Ninh - Haiphong and Thanh Hoa province) and in the North East season, it tends to South West region (around Tho Chu islands and nearshore area of Ca Mau - Kien Giang).
