Abstract:

The purse seine fishery is one of the important fishing fisheries of Vietnam. However, fishing effective evaluating of tuna purse seine fisheries is not interested. Hence, this newspaper to provides some indicators to assess such as: indicators of materiality, technology operation crew, production efficiency. In order to support scientific basis, orientate development of tuna purse seine. The study results that: the boats is built by wood materials so technology visible attrition so was high about 35.3 – 78.02%, the life expectancy of vessels was lowly about 8 - 13 years; the old engine and lacking so proportion of modern equipments were low about 36.9 – 77.4%, the level of main engine capacities were from 205 to 840 HP, the investment capital for vessels were 3,100 millions VND for per boat; the life expectancy of crew was from 18 to 40 years old; the educational level  were at primary and secondary; effective evaluating of boats from 250 to 400 HP were the highest. In 2016, crew productivity was 11.2 tons/crew/year and 258.9 millions VND/crew/year. To compared boats of between 2011 and 2016, the show that: the tuna purse seine of fishing boats in 2016 were invested to upgrades,  improving production efficiency and approaching with the level of technology in the world.
